Narconon Vancouver

Permissive drug policies in Vancouver and British Columbia have given marijuana and other drug users and pushers opportunities to circumvent laws and police. Even if marijuana grow operations are broken up in Vancouver, fines of $5,000 and less are imposed, rarely do offenders go to jail and the operation sets up in another location. Vancouver lays claim to an estimated 20,000 grow ops. Connections to people involved with crime and other drugs are not uncommon for those using marijuana in Vancouver.

Narconon Vancouver was established to address the FALSE information promoting the safety and 'harmlessness' of marijuana and other drugs. We are also here to help those already tricked into using drugs, and offer them a way out of their addiction or chronic use through a rehabilitation program that works.

Narconon Foundation was incorporated in May of 2001 as a non-profit organization in Vancouver. We have delivered drug talks to about 1000 people, mostly kids, put out 4,000 booklets on the truth about drugs and sent 4 minors to rehab. We are only getting started.

We welcome your assistance to create a drug-free city!

Narconon Foundation is an independent, Non-Profit Corporation serving the Greater Vancouver area. The purpose of Narconon Foundation is to provide drug prevention services to create a growing number of drug-free youth in groups and schools Narconon refers to the network of over 100 independent drug prevention and/or rehabilitation centers in over 50 countries. Narconon International is licensed to use the research discoveries of L. Ron Hubbard in the fields of education and drug rehabilitation for secular and social betterment pursuits. Narconon Foundation has been licensed with Narconon International since October, 1999. Tibor Palatinus, Executive Director of Narconon Foundation in Vancouver, BC, has worked for over 5 years as an educator, tutor and business academy supervisor and is a trained Narconon Drug Prevention Specialist and Drug Interventionist. He consults drug users and parents and friends of a drug users on how to save the addicts life with the Narconon Drug Rehabilitation program He combines this with 3 years as a toastmaster to bring a fun, refreshing and EFFECTIVE style to drug education talks. A former drug user as a teenager, Tibor Palatinus has 'been there as a user' and shares his experiences freely with the kids to bring reality to each of his talks. The 'Truth about Drugs Talks" are delivered in a non-judgmental way without scare tactics, to let the participants draw their own conclusions about drug use. The talks draw heavily on the latest research of drug effects on the body, mind and abilities of a person, combined with real life anecdotal stories which bring the facts to life. Tibor speaks directly to the participants own unique reality. Everyone has seen the conviction of a youth when THEY decide for themselves on a course of action; there is no stopping them. Based on the surveys answered by the students, a large majority of kids are deciding to be drug-free or eliminate certain drugs from use after hearing even one talk.

Tibor Palatinus grew up on the North Shore and Vancouver. He was a successful athlete in high school, playing on two to three teams a year throughout to graduation. He first became interested in nutrition in his senior high school year when he began selling nutritional products for Shaklee as an independent distributor. His studies in nutrition at an early age primed him for further research into the effects of drugs on the body, mind and life of the person. Having first hand knowledge of how drugs affected his life, he was ready to share his discoveries with others, so they too could benefit from a healthy, happy and successful lifestyle that would not include drugs. He stopped using street drugs 17 years ago and today uses no drugs at all. He is a member of The Institute for Ethical Leadership, a group supporting individuals and groups who contribute toward a better society.
